Qualitative Insight Toolkit

This toolkit was developed by the Qualitative Insight Team in Public Health, Wirral Council to help you gather the voice of residents and communities in Wirral.

Qualitative insight is information gathered from people that describes their experiences, opinions, and motivations. This insight can be used to help us understand people’s behaviour and influence decision making to better suit the needs of people and communities.

Qualitative Insight Toolkit

The toolkit guidance below follows five core stages of gathering qualitative insight: planning your approach, gathering qualitative insight, bringing your findings together, presenting your findings, and reflecting on your work.
